About MY-ENDO

MY-ENDO is a treatment program developed specifically for women suffering from the chronic disease endometriosis. The program is mindfulness-based but, unlike the more general mindfulness programs, it is structured in a way where the use of mindfulness exercises is adapted specifically to the challenges of living with endometriosis. This means that we have a greater focus on the body and mindful moving through yoga exercises in order to achieve some relief from both physical and mental discomfort and pain.
In addition to mindfulness and yoga, the program includes other various elements recommended by the latest pain research, including:
- Patient education, i.e. learning about the interaction between mind and body in relation to endometriosis and pain.
- Cognitive techniques and tools that can help to better manage racing thoughts, worries, catastrophizing, anxiety, etc.
- Tools for stress management.
- Tools to increase physical activity and provide better rest.
- Tools to work with values and behavioral changes.
- Focus on motivation and lifestyle.

These are all methods that have been shown in research studies to be effective in the treatment and management of chronic illness and pain.
The program you are about to embark on will take place over the next 10 weeks, where you will automatically and continuously access the 10 sessions of the program, one new session for each week. There will be text material for you to immerse yourself in, and there will be various guided exercises both as audio files and videos. In addition, there will be some worksheets for you to complete. You can download and print the complete booklet with worksheets here (LINK).
The structure of the program entails more reading and listening in the first four weeks of the program. As the weeks progress, there will be less reading and more everyday practicing for you to finally implement the new good habits in your everyday life.
