Mindful yoga exercises

In this program, we also encourage you to practice yoga - preferably a little every day or every second day. We approach yoga with the same mindset as when we do a body scan. We observe what we experience in our bodies, emotions, and mind without judgment and without fighting it.

BUT - when you feel that your body longs for a certain movement or stretch, maybe just a small twist or a simple adjustment, follow your body to where it tells you it wants to be and notice what happens in your body.

The way we do yoga in this program is not about "looking pretty" or being advanced. It is all about strengthening your body awareness, i.e. how it feels or senses in your body. Therefore, you are in the right pose when it feels right for you!

We start off gently with yoga exercises that focus on calmness. Dress in comfortable clothes that allow you to move freely and use a yoga mat on the floor where you have plenty of space around you. You can start by watching the instructional video "How to use the yoga videos and introduction to the CALM exercises".

This week we start with the exercises "No. 8: Savasana", "No. 16: The Cat", "No. 3: Hands to Feet", "No. 15: The Hare" and "No. 13: Universal Pose". Feel free to follow the guided videos until you are comfortable with the exercises. At the bottom, you will find all the videos edited together into one yoga series called "Calm".

You can click on the videos below to begin.

We recommend that you continue with the body scan on a daily basis and supplement with yoga about 3-4 times a week (every other day).

Have a great time!
