Small steps
Once you have chosen your life area and the values you want to pursue, it is important to start by asking yourself: "What is the smallest, simplest, and easiest step I can take in the next 24 hours that will move me in the direction of my value?"

It is important to learn to take small steps. If we get too caught up in long-term goals, we get pulled out of living in the moment. Instead, we risk being drawn into the mindset of "As soon as I achieve this goal, I'll be happy". But what if we never get there, or it takes much longer than expected, or it turns out that it did not actually make me happy at all?
Therefore, we distinguish between short-term and long-term goals:
An immediate goal (something small, simple, and easy that I can do in the next 24 hours)
A short-term goal (things I can do in the next week)
A medium-term goal (things I can do in the coming weeks and months)
A long-term goal (things I can do in the coming months and years)
Write it down and say it out loud
By writing down your goals, you make them more tangible while also serving as an important reminder. As humans, we are also far more likely to follow through on commitments when they are public. Therefore, we recommend that you share your goals and actions with a partner, friend, or family member.
